Are we having fun yet?

My father in law took the boys for the day! Daniel is busy scrapping the house down to the wood *smile* and prepping for the tinted super duper primer that I saved $40 on last night! Love a Labor Day weekend sale!
Here is a shot of the color we AREN'T doing!

It not only looks periwinkle on the red (which will go away with primer most likely), Daniel came home yesterday and said he didn't like it.
WHEW!
I didn't like it either!!!
What I didn't want in any way was "country blue"
Remember the days of country blue and mauve EVERYWHERE!?!?!

Yuck! It looked soooo different in the store! And we even held the little sample card under the bulb that was to simulate SUNLIGHT~

I wanted a dark blue gray!
So I went back to the store, had the girl add black FIVE TIMES!
Then I felt it was dark enough!
We will see!!!
Here is the hunk working on my house!
He loves crusty white t-shirts.
I hate crusty white t-shirts.
Since I am not much help out side with my "bad" back....
I am baking for him.

They are one of his favs!
His mother's homemade cinnamon rolls.
Here they are raw!

He already ate one raw!
A whole one.... in one bite!
I almost gagged!
He hates waiting for them to get from raw to baked.
RAW!
Really, it doesn't take long to bake and mix the icing...

These are soooo worth waiting for.
We are just starting the primer!
Anyone wishing they had volunteered to help!?
NEXT, you get to see the NEW color!
Darker!
Not actually as dark as I wanted.... but seeing as dark is so hard to cover...
maybe in five years I will be glad it wasn't that dark! he-he!

Can't wait to see he finished product! Choosing paint colors is so hard.

Oh thank you for not doing "country blue"!! Kansas is overloaded with people stuck in the 80's color scheme! Can't wait to see the blue/gray. :) And, I'll take 5 of those cinnamon rolls. Oh wait, I have a KitchenAid mixer just waiting for me to whip some up. Maybe tomorrow.
