"Our" Weekend!

Daniel and I had such a nice weekend! We dropped our boys at grandma and grandpa's house and headed north. Not really a sunny destination but when shopping is involved I am pretty content!
*smile*
First we stopped at Cabela's
and the huge Fleet Farm store!
Exciting! I know!
But actually then have neat stuff!
Then we drove on up to Minneapolis!
Look at the view out our hotel window!
Isn't it beautiful!?

Okay so it was a gray day!
And the parking lots are ugly.
And would you believe
we didn't even go into the Mall of America?!?!

I was just pumped to go HERE!
It was Daniel's first visit!
It was special!!
Look at the lines just going in as they opened on Saturday!

Daniel did find fun stuff!

how cute is that!?
as we were leaving I made him go in the men's restroom to see these crazy hand dryers:

Bizarre! But they work!
Just stick your hands in and the BLAST
your hands with air!
This is Daniel enjoying his anniversary present...
it is the same every year.
Christmas and birthday too.
Twizzlers.

How about this fun Chips Ahoy truck:
Daniel dropped me off at the OUTLET MALL
that was already awesome
and having huge sales to boot!!!
While he went back to Cabela's!
We ate out. At Famous Dave's next to Cabela's.
Here are the beans I told Daniel he COULDN'T EAT!
Lucky for me
he was too full
after his "TExas Manhandler" sandwich!

I had the "everything bad for you sampler"!
It's not really called that, but it might as well be!
I only ate the three ribs,
the three chicken strips
and the three skinny pieces of catfish.
Wow, was it good!

Here is why
you shouldn't take pictures
of people while they are eating.

On the way home I was wishing I had taken more pictures.
So I started playing with night pics!

These look like squirrels, no?

When we got home Jedd showered us with confetti!

Each piece had a heart drawn on it!
Over 100 of them!

I {heart} that boy!
And missed them both.

Good to be home.

Good to be so happily married!

I've seen that view. We did MoA this summer...skipped IKEA, cuz we have one of those here in Oregon. I wish I could time warp myself to X-mas shop at MoA. I could get my list covered in one day if I didn't have my mini-helpers with me.

Sound like a wonderful weekend, Beth! I've been to Ikea twice. It's kinda cool. I think it's about time to go back. I can't believe you were that close to the Mall of America and didn't go it. I hope to go someday. Not to shop necessarily but just to see it! I know, I'm kinda weird. I really don't like to shop too much. haha I love the night photos and they really do look like squirrels.

Happy Anniversary and I'm glad you had a great weekend.

My calendar reminded me you had a day to celebrate on Friday! Sounds like a great weekend! We're closing in on 20... where does the time go?!

So glad you had fun (but, really, was there any doubt?!) and the boys remembered to add that extra dose of sparkle to your day!

Hey Beth! Thanks for following the Five Moms and a blog! I'm so glad you did because I really enjoyed your shopping trip! Your one funny gal! And YES your view was AMAZING!!! I'm dying to go the the Mall of America. I'm surprised I'm not dead yet since I've been dying to go since it first opened. haha. That would have been my first stop, but only because I've already been to Ikea here in NC a couple of times. Otherwise, I would've been dying 2 times fold.

Anyway, just wanted to welcome you to the Five Moms and hope you come visit me at my other little blog.

Btw, loved that shower of love you got when you came home. So sweet!

Looks like a wonderful trip. BUT I couldn't tell that was a Twizzler at all... I thought he had on BRIGHT RED lipstick and was distorting the shape of his mouth.

ha ha ha

I saw those same hand dryers in Union Station in Chicago last month. Aren't they interesting?
