Dilemma...

(back to Easter weekend)
Dilemma..... just when I THOUGHT I was SURE I wanted to avoid using my camera's flash..... EVER.... WHENEVER possible.... cause it's always ugly... too bright.... harsh.... unflattering..... this happens....
Jedd climbed a tree at Grandma's house and sent Russ to get me to come take his picture! I went out and was playing with settings for fun and forgot to tell Cash not to flash (since I hate flash... but I was outside so I didn't think it would flash anyway) and I get this...
The first one is without the flash. Changed settings and POP! The flash goes off and look! It is better!
And it is easy to tone down the flash into this:
My little "Cash/D90" is smarter than his moma!
And there is a name for this... "fill flash".
It fills in the shadows for you.
ONLY when you need it.
How does Cash know this!
The next pictures were on the same setting but I told Jedd to move into the light better and....
then he was done posing for moma and Cash.

Seriously.... did you think I would go back to my 500 pictures from Easter weekend and not include our babies!? (That is the beauty of having nephews and nieces... you can call them OURS!)

And don't think for a minute that I am done with Easter weekend... oh no... that just completes what I will post for day 1 and 2. There is still.... day 3!
But I must work on some other projects!
FYI.... I actually took a nap today! For real! I was WIPED out last night preparing for a ladies brunch that would be today at church. Didn't sleep good last night as it rain and thundered, and I think I heard hail! AND got up early... then spent 6hrs at church today! The brunch was just a HUGE BLESSING! God worked things out beautifully! It was uplifting, inspiring, and ....cause for a good....long...... nap. I just couldn't help it! IT IS COLD AND RAINY! Total napping weather. So I guess, now when I say..."I never take naps!" you may have to remind me..."ummmm....

Fill flash works well when they are always wearing hats too! Great pictures Beth! So glad your brunch went well, too!!!
