Too much?

Seeing as it is still December I think you will find many IOWANS that feel we have too much snow.  That is 'cause we know what is coming.......

...in January.... more snow.

...in February.... more snow.

...in March... more snow.

and even, yes, even in April.... there will be snow.

This is actually falling frost - above.

 That's a 2 liter.

Those chairs ...... make me long for warm days, iced tea and a magazine.
I am not cut out for winter photography.
But I do love this:

Helpless

There are so many times that I feel helpless.Like thinking of those in Haiti. Or feeling helpless when those I love, are in need. ~A friend with a very ill child, a friend going through horribly tough times, a friend under huge financial pressures, the list could go on and on. It seems there isn't a lot I can do to help. But I would be wrong to think that...I know Someone who CAN! He is good at helping, blessing, healing, guiding, giving, and caring. I can lay my friends at His feet knowing they are safe in His hands. And His love for them goes beyond my own imagination.

He is like that, you know, good at going beyond imagination. (1st Cor 2:9)

I don't like to admit when the snow is pretty. This isn't even snow, so I am safe for now. The garden at work (the library garden) was completely frosted over today, so this is for my friends today, know that I love you:
I am going to pick a theme word for 2010.... I haven't picked it yet.... but this would be a good one....it sort of represents winter to me:

While I was at work.....

Daniel was going to take the boys to the golf course hill to sled! But they wanted to do this instead:
I snapped a few pics before I left:

Circling the house was never more fun....

Especially when it involves tacking your brother as he goes by on a sled:

I am glad there is a little padding....

They don't seem to mind!

Watch out little brother here comes your big brother....

Boys really are just like puppies.

Boys......

This is the view out my front door....
after 13.5 inches of snow.....
and it is now 7 degrees and sunny outside!
Snow literally blankets the house...

do you see it?

boys...
they make me laugh even when it is 7 outside.
