How to post pictures larger on Blogger!

Okay, I don't know how good these pics are until I post them so I may have to redo this post later if it is unreadable!
Anyway, here is how to make pictures even larger than the large setting on blogger!
Go to the Edit HTML tab. Find the paragraph that is your pictures... usually starts and ends with the little "a".
Then find the spot where it says the width and height of the picture. See below:

Delete that. Then find the spot where you see the little "s" and a number.. if it was uploaded as large it will say "s400"... like below....

Don't delete it just leave the little "s" and change the number to 640.
Click compose and you should see it even larger. It may be blank for a few seconds as the larger picture loads. I tried like 1200 or 1600 and it was ginormous!!! So 640 seems good to me. I just google my question and found this tip on another blog. She did it a little differently, but this is the way that worked for me. If it doesn't work for you, google it and see other bloggers ideas methods.

Good luck!

Let me know if these pics are totally unreadable. I used the snipping tool in Vista which is very cool but there are other ways I can copy the page to show you. This was just the fastest! IF you have Vista you should try it! It even let me use the "highlighter" feature to mark the spot! Very cool! Just click the start button, then in the search box type in snipping tool and try it out!!! You can just scribble a box around anything on the page ANYWHERE and it copies it and you can save it as a jpg! SWEEEEET.!!!!

I'm kind of picky about picture sizes too and I did something similar to what you did. I tweaked the html numbers to allow my Flickr pics to display in "medium" size, which is 500 pixels width so that I could use the Flickr "blog this photo" feature. When I want to display a vertical picture, I usually resize them to 500 pixel width and upload them to photobucket. This keeps all my blogs looking very consistent with regard to text and picture width and I don't have to center the pictures.
