Ahhhh...Sunday!

What a great Mother's Day!
Our church always has a lot of fun for Mother's Day! For the Sunday School hour the kids sang darling little songs, Daniel made a music video with all the kids using Go Fish's song, "Your a Mom", the teens played a fun game with their parents. Pastor's sermon was on Hannah and the example she was as a mother.
We ate pizza for lunch! I worked in the afternoon. Came home and Daniel had my in-laws over for supper... he grilled the thickest Iowa Chops I have ever eaten!!!! Only in IOWA will you see chops this thick! Sorry I don't have a picture of them. They were awesome!

Back to church at 6p.m. for a sermon that I gotta tell you about later... in a post all it's own.
Of course, the day is not done without some play time!
I think someone could write a cute poem about how little boys are a lot like puppies! Okay, so there is the snips and snails and puppy dog tails ....but there's gotta be more someone can do with that. But I am no poet.... so I give you pictures! I really changed up the settings to see what I needed for low light action indoor pics! I tried a bunch of stuff and found that I actually improved the pics as I changed things! Maybe some of this photography stuff is starting to make sense to this little Belle!

They are such fun. I am really overwhelmed with the thought of what a privilege it is to be a mother. God did not have to give me a husband, or children. But He did. He did not have to give me boys. But He did. He did not have to give me healthy beautiful boys. But He did.

I sat and wondered during church today, "What will they become?" Will they be called to a bold life a greatness or a quiet life of simplicity? Did God give them to Dan and Beth for a special purpose? Like Hannah was given Samuel?

I don't know, but I do know that I must do all I know to be right as their mother. I am so far from perfect but they are mine for His perfect purpose.
I am so proud to be a mother. Their mother.

Oh Beth, this was just precious. I especially love the black and white photos and the last two.

I love your thoughts about who your boys will become.

Happy Mother's day!
